Ingredients
Aloe Vera
Aloe vera is a gel harvested from the leaves of aloe plants, and has been used for hundreds of years for softening and even healing skin. Aloe has been shown to be effective for the relief of skin conditions such as sunburn, acne, and psoriasis.
Beeswax
Beeswax is a natural wax produced by honey bees, who use the wax to form cells in the hive for honey storage and larval and pupal protection of their young. Beeswax is anti-allergenic, anti-bacterials, anti-inflammatory, and germicidal, making it an excellent base ingredient in many products.
Calendula
Calendula is a plant native to Asia and southern Europe that has been used in traditional systems of medicine. The chemicals found in calendula might help new tissue grow in wounds and decrease swelling in the mouth and throat. Calendula has been commonly used for wounds, rashes, infections, inflammation, and other conditions.
Essential Oil Blend
Essential oils are compounds extracted from plants, capturing each plant’s scent and flavor, or “essence.”
This essential oil blend contains Lavender, Lime, and Patchouli
Lanolin
Lanolin is an oil derived from the wool of sheep. Lanolin is an emollient that helps soothe dry or dehydrated skin.
Olive Oil
Olive oil is packed with nutrients and rich in monounsaturated fats and antioxidants, which may have benefits for skin when applied topically. Olive oil moisturizes skin, reduces the signs of aging, promotes the healing of wounds, and helps to cleanse skin.
Organic Comfrey
Comfrey is a shrub that grows in Asia, Europe, and North America, and has been used in traditional medicine in many parts of the world for thousands of years for treating wounds as well as joint and muscle pain. Its leaves and roots contain a substance called allantoin that can help new skin cells grow. Comfrey also contains other substances that can reduce inflammation and help to keep skin healthy. Comfrey should never be used on broken skin.
Propolis
Propolis is a sticky substance collected by bees from tree buds, sap flows, and other botanical sources. It is a complex mix of organic compounds and minerals used by bees to make their hives sterile, waterproof, and less susceptible to mold or bacteria growth. Propolis has antiseptic, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory properties, and is widely used in medicine.

It’s unfortunate that the true medicinal powers of this balm cannot be accurately stated by Black Hills Farms. I had an unfortunate spill on the tennis court that left me with a 2×3 inch “court burn” on my shoulder that looked like a third degree burn. I tried dermaplast and gauze bandage for a week and it looked like it was getting worse; angry red in spots, very painful, odd white patches. I was ready to go to the doctor. Then my mother reminded me that I had this balm on hand. I was afraid it might sting but it was so soothing and within a day I could see improvement. By the end of 4 days it was pain free and looked like new pink skin. Now, 6 weeks later, I can barely see where it was, which is a huge relief as I was sure I would be left with an angry looking scar.

I just received this item as part of my order last Saturday. And I must say this product is absolutely amazing. I had a area on my skin that I have been trying to clear up for at least 3 to 4 months. Everything I put to clear up the area, it did nothing to heal it. I even went to my Doctor he wrote me a script for a cortisone cream and even that did not help. I started using the Honey and Propolis burn and wound care salve on Sunday. And today is Tuesday and it has already started to clear up and heal. This product is awesome.
